This year Disneyland celebrates its 68th anniversary on July 18, 2023. On March 6, 1980, to help commemorate Disneyland’s 25th anniversary, CBS aired Kraft Salutes Disneyland’s 25th Anniversary. The television special was hosted by Danny Kaye with guest stars Michael Jackson, The Osmonds and Adam Rich and special guest appearances by Wally Boag, Sorrell Brooke, Bart Braveman, Danielle Brisebois, Ruth Buzzi, Peggy Cass, Quinn Cummings, Buddy Epsen, Jamie Farr, Annette Funicello, Stephen Furst, Fred Grandy, Gregory Harrison, Ted Lange, Richard Paul, Joan Prather, Kim Richards, Ronnie Schell, John Schneider, Judy Norton (as Judy Norton-Taylor), Sal Viscuso, Robert Walden, Patrick Wayne, Anson Williams, Jo Anne Worley, Linda Gray.
The special was directed by Dwight Hemion and follows a young boy (Adam Rich) on his first ever trip to Disneyland where he encounters many interesting characters who tell him various tidbits on the park's history.
