A new trailer and poster for Freakier Friday, the sequel to the Disney classic starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, were released. The film opens in theaters on August 8, 2025. In the new movie, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman and pick up years after they endured their identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter and a stepdaughter, and with all the challenges when two families merge, they discover a new identity crisis!
Freakier Friday is directed by Nisha Ganatra and is based on the book Freaky Friday (1972) by Mary Rodgers. The film also stars Julia Butter, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon, is produced by Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn, and Jaime Lee Curtis with Nathana Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin, and Lindsay Lohan serving as executive producers.
